This illustrated presentation by NASA/JPL volunteer Janet Wood features highlights from this year’s Total Solar Eclipse Tour sponsored by The Planetary Society. Janet will share her journey to the Eclipse destination atop Rendezvous Mountain in Wyoming with stops along the way to see a world-class endangered raptor conservation program, prehistoric fossils beds, the volcanic world of Craters of the Moon, and some of the fascinating geological history of of Idaho and Wyoming, including Grand Tetons National Park. The program culminates in an exploration of the phenomenon of solar eclipses, combining both modern science and historical mythology.
